The Lilac Festival started in Showa 34 at the request of cultural people to hold cultural events during the season when lilac flowers bloom.The lilac was also selected as a Sapporo tree in Showa 35 and is familiar with it.The festival has been open to the public for more than half a year since the long winter, and it is also a fanfare for the coming season to enjoy outdoor walks.
